Administration

Hi, I’m Deborah and have worked with Dr Meng for 10 years. I co-ordinate the smooth working between administration and the clinical areas of the practice. Working part time now I don’t get to see our lovely patients as often as I like!

Besides working I love my life and the people in it. Eating out is always a preference but if I have to cook I find it hard keeping the smile on my face!

Dr. Meng Quah-Shepherd

Hi, I am Dr. Meng Quah-Shepherd (also known as Dr. Meng) and I have more than 20 years experience in dentistry.

I am very passionate about healthy teeth with a beautiful smile, and I like to keep myself up to date with the latest technology and education in dental care.

I am a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Australian Society of Implant Dentistry, American Academy of Craniofacial Pain and Australian Society of Periodontology to name but a few.

Dr Taoran Wang

Hi I’m Taoran Wang. I qualifed at Sydney University and my areas of interest are cosmetic dentistry and childrens dentistry. When I am not helping my patients you will find me sky diving or flyfoxing.

Brian (Hygienist)

I am a registered Dental Hygienist with over 8 years experience. My gentle touch, empathy, attention to detail and thoroughness makes my patients happy and they keep coming back to see me for the “perfect dental clean”.

On a personal note, I keep my colleagues happy with my “jokes” and one of my weaknesses is Indian food…

Rene’ Crighton (Receptionist/Administrator)

Hi my name is Rene and I will be the first smile you see when you step into the practice BUT certainly not the last!

I come from sunny South Africa, born in Johannesburg and ending up in Cape Town for 2 years before arriving in Australia. I have been in Sydney for 9 months now and loving every minute of it!

I am married, have 2 wonderful boys, a brother who lives in Sydney and have a huge family back home.

Spent the last 3 years raising my family and prior to that I worked for a Corporate Communications agency for 15 years specialising in Financial Advertising.

I am now embarking on a new journey within the Dental Industry. Fortunate for me, I have the opportunity to work in a first class practice, amongst super duper people!

Jane Leathwood (Nurse)

Hi, I am one of the dental nurses. I look forward to welcoming you with a smile and making sure you are relaxed and comfortable during your visit with us. I ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and sterilization are met in our practice.

Prior to working as a dental nurse, I was a physiotherapist in England and have many years experience of putting clients at ease in the clinical setting.

Whilst I am not at work, I am looking after my very active 5 year old son, baking cakes or keeping fit with Pilates and swimming.

Tanya (Nurse)

Hi, my name is Tanya and I work part-time at The Chatswood Dental Practice. I enjoy helping patients feel at ease and hope to leave them smiling at the end of the day!

Playing the piano is my passion…..still waiting for Dr Meng to get a baby grand for the surgery!!!

Stacey McGrinder (Nurse)

Hi there, my name is Stacey and I come all the way from ‘sunny’ Scotland.

I am a full time dental nurse here at The Chatswood Dental Practice, but you can also catch me at reception welcoming our lovely patients and having a chat (if time) before their appointment.

Here at The Chatswood Dental Practice our job as a team is to have all our patients feeling relaxed and happy during their visit with us and hopefully leaving with a smile on their face after receiving our extra special 5 star treatment.

Prior to working as a dental nurse I was in the insolvency business where all I saw was doom and gloom but now I’m in a much more enjoyable and fulfilling role.

I work very closely with Dr Meng which I enjoy, and particularly like our big cosmetic cases as the end results are always brilliant. I just love the look on our patient’s faces when I hand them the mirror to see their new smile!

In my spare time you can catch me trying out Sydney’s great restaurants with my partner or out and about with my digital camera snapping some pics.
